New
Digital Only 7 Song EP.
New
Atlas Digital Recordings announces the impending release of the
latest stratocruiser collection, "Our New EP," available on iTunes and other digital
outlets on July 27, 2010.
The songs on the new release run the gamut from the minor chord
driven angular pop of "New Glasses," to the crunchy
classic sound of "OK Class." Included on the release
is the 2009 single, "Kids Hate Rock and Roll," which
was chosen as the song of the year for 2009 by Pop Garden Radio,
WMEL in Melbourne, FL. Four of these songs were previously
available on the extremely limited edition 300 copies of "OK
Class, the best of stratocruiser and more," which was released
in November of 2009.
"This will represent the first wide release of these 4 songs,
plus three brand new recordings, including a blistering cover
of the Partridge
Family classic, "I Woke Up In Love
This Morning." said
label chief, Miguel Guzman. "This EP is just a glimpse into
the writing and recording that has been going on since the 2008
release of Eggshells." Guznman continues," The
lead track, slush, shows a new side to the band, and showcases
the guitar work of lead guitarist Mike Nicholson, and the vocals
of Clay Howard. The new EP shows a band determined to continue
challenging themselves in both writing and performance."

Stratocruiser
Best of CD.
Do you have your copy of
Ok,
Class - The Best of Stratocruiser & More".? After 4 full length CD's, numerous
CD singles, EP's, vinyl 45's, compilation tracks, and tribute
album tracks, Stratocruiser has culled 16 of their finest tracks
to serve as the perfect primer to the band's blend of power pop
colored with dollops of creamy classic rock and incendiary garage-rock
sounds. Stratocruiser has, through cajoling,
intimidation, blackmail and extortion secured the rights to all
their recordings from their former labels and thus can now release
this collection with a smattering of remastering and audio tweaking.
Also tacked on are 5 BRAND NEW SONGS from the band that show further growth as artists
and indeed as big burly men. "Ok, Class"'s new songs
were all recorded at the bands own studio with more tasty keyboard
work by Peter
Holsapple. The new tracks break new ground for the band
from the melodic sludgery of "Vanilla Sunday" to the
minor key edginess of "New Glasses". Rock and roll
rave-ups like the title track and and "That Phone Call"
(the end title song to the indie film Hellphone) show
the band stripping down its sound from their usual bombastic,
thick, gloppy rock to showcase raw guitars and a sneering punkiness.
OK Class will be available as a LIMITED EDITION DIGIPAK CD only (no digital downloads) via
the band directly or through select distributors. Visit

Kat or Jam Recordings
